Upcoming Events

Hi all,

Sorry we missed those who didn't make it to the Swiss last Tues. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. There are a few things I want to over that was discussed at the meeting.

- Cheryl will be mentioning our group and the grant we just got at the upcoming AIA newsletter. I will be using some pictures I've taken so far (they're on this website) for this newsletter and other media publications. So if anybody who does not want their pictures shown in the paper, please let me know.

- Jon Denton has been working on setting up some exciting architectural tours with the AIA continuing education committee. It'll be for AIA LU or IDP units, whichever ones you'd need. Jon will let us know as soon as tentative dates are set as well as location (Seattle or Tacoma). If you have any tours ideas or places you'd like to visit, please let Jon know.

- Dion Serra, a recent addition to our group, has agreed to take on the 'high school mentorship' activity. He'll be working with local high schools on starting up a mentorship curriculum between high school students and our group. If anybody would like to help Dion or have any ideas, contact him.

- It's been awhile since we had our social event, since Habitat for Humanity. I'd like to start one up again sometime soon. I know we had s couple of new addition to our groups since we started. So, with that said, keep a look out for new events. If anyone has ideas on what they want to have as our next social event, post it on here. I was thinking maybe happy hour?

I know this is a long post, but one last thing. If you want to start a discussion, say anything, complain about anything, post it on here. This google site was created so we could have an open communications between us. So....talk it up.
