Happy Hour @ El Toro!!!

Hola!!!

Don't forget our Happy Hour event tomorrow at 5:30pm at El Toro!!! We'll have a game of trivial pursuit and pictionary with the ArchiFlash cards. The questions won't be in Spanish...we'll save that for next time. For those who haven't taken the test, this will be a good test run to see if you know some of the stuff already. For those who had taken the test, you can be the referee, game host or join the team.

So join us for some nachos and margaritas. Bring a friend or two. http://www.eltorofamily.com/

See you there!!

AIA Golf Tournament

Hi Everyone!!!

I don't know if you guys got an email from AIA SWW about the golf tournament coming up September 7th at the Classic Golf Club in Spanaway.

I was told that there would be discount for the associates. Would anybody be interested in being on the team. We have to have at least four to make a team and get discount on this. Let me know if you'd like to play. The price include 18 holes of golf, prizes and BBQ dinner.

On the other hand, if you can't afford to play then you can still be there for the fun event as a volunteer. they need help filling the bags and during registration before the tournament begins.

Thanks!!

IDP

Since we had a lot of questions during lunch about the IDP process. I'd like to start a discussion here about it. This is what I got on the NCARB website about the actions from the exam board letting interns taking the exams during IDP process.

"There are currently 9 jurisdictions which allow you to take the ARE
prior to the completion of IDP. They are: Alabama, Arizona,
California, Florida, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, Texas, Vermont, and
Wisconsin. The individual laws and requirements for eligibility to sit
for the ARE prior to completion of IDP vary greatly. You must contact
your Board of Architecture to understand their specific requirements."

I want to clarify something about signature requires. The daily supervisor is a registered architect to sign your forms. It doesn't say that it necessarily have to be a principal of the firm. Also, the daily supervisor can also be a mentor. So you can have one person sign both places.
